ワンパンマンは海外で大人気？！アニメから学ぶ英語リーディング

TOEICの試験や大学受験の時のリーディング問題って

すごく難しくないですか？

ビジネスに関わる文章が多いですが、いつもつまらなくて眠たくなってしまいます。

大好きなアニメのことなら、英語を読むのも楽しいのではないかと思い自分で作ってみました。

その名も「アニメから学ぶ大人のリーディング」

海外版のワンパンマンは英語でなんていうの？

ワンパンマンは英語で「One Punch man」発音はワンパンチマンです。

日本ではワンパンマンとして知れ渡っていますが、海外ではみなさんワンパンチマンとそのまま発音します。

海外では密かに流行っています。

ゲームのお店ではヒロアカ、ドラゴンボール、ブリーチなどのフィギュアやTシャツが売っていますが、ワンパンマンの商品を置いているところは見たことがありません。

ですが男性・女性関係なくアニメが好きな人は大体知っていて

前に彼の職場のクリスマスパーティーがあったのですが、同僚たちもみんな知っており

さらに話をしていたら知らないおばさんも「ワンパンチマン面白いよね」と会話に入ってきたほど広く知られています。

Synopsis　概要

The seemingly unimpressive Saitama has a rather unique hobby: being a hero. In order to pursue his childhood dream, Saitama relentlessly trained for three years, losing all of his hair in the process. Now, Saitama is so powerful, he can defeat any enemy with just one punch. However, having no one capable of matching his strength has led Saitama to an unexpected problem—he is no longer able to enjoy the thrill of battling and has become quite bored.

アニヲタカナダ人からみたワンパンマンの感想

I like One Punch Man. I first watched it years ago when I was living in an apartment with one of my friends in downtown Kitchener. As my roommate watched the first episode together we couldn’t stop laughing at the ridiculous violence, the enormous threat the monsters posed, and Saitama’s indifference and ease at disposing of these monsters. I really like Saitama, and I think he’s my favorite character in the series as he faces an existential crisis as he’s achieved his dream of becoming a strong hero but feels emptiness as he feels there’s no longer a goal to pursue.

I like One Punch Man.

わたしはワンパンマンが好きです。

I first watched it years ago/

わたしはそれを初めて数年前にみました。

when I was living in an apartment with one of my friends in downtown Kitchener.

わたしがキッチナーの都市部で友達の一人とアパートで暮らしていた時

As my roommate and watched the first episode together/

わたしのルームメイトと一緒に最初のエピソードを見ていた時

I really like Saitama,

わたしは本当にさいたまが好きだ。

and I think he’s my favorite character in the series/

そして彼はシリーズの中でわたしのお気に入りのキャラクターだと思う。

as he’s achieved his dream of becoming a strong hero/

彼が強いヒーローになる夢を叶えたため

but feels emptiness/

しかし虚しさを感じる

ワンパンマンSeason2は・・・？

One Punch Man is a great gag manga but also it also gives the main character a lot of depth which makes the series interesting as well as funny. Season 1 has a great animation and direction style and was produced by studio Mad House but maybe some of you may have noticed that something was off about season 2, well season two was produced by J.C. Staff, unfortunately making season 2 not as great. Another series I really love that’s by the same creator is Mob Psycho 100 which I think is a great series that also has really compelling characters.

One Punch Man is a great gag manga/

but also it gives the main character a lot of depth/

しかしメインキャラクターにたくさんの奥深さを与えた

which makes the series interesting as well as funny.

Season 1 has a great animation/

シーズン１は良いアニメーションだ

and direction style and was produced by studio Mad House/

そして方向性、マッドハウススタジオによって製作された

but maybe some of you may have noticed/

しかし気づいた人もいるかもしれない

that something was off about season 2,/

シーズン２に関しては何かがおかしいと（それほどでもない）

well season two was produced by J.C. Staff,

ええと、シーズン２はJCスタッフによって製作された

unfortunately making season 2 not as great.

残念ながらシーズン２は良いものではなかった

Another series I really love that’s by the same creator/

同じ作者によるわたしが大好きな他のシリーズ

is Mob Psycho 100/

モブサイコ100

which I think is a great series/

それはとても良いシリーズ

that also has really compelling characters. 

注目せずにはいられないキャラクターがいる。

外国人とアニメのお話をしてみませんか？

基礎の文法力があって英語も読めるのであれば、次はリスニングとスピーキングができるようになる必要があります。

なぜなら「英語は会話をする手段」だからです。

留学やワーキングホリデーで海外に行った際、英語を話さないと何もすることができません。

ただ英語が話せない状態で海外に出てしまうと

ということになってしまいます。

※わたしはまさに話せずに海外に出てしまったので、はじめは日本食レストランでしか働けませんでした・・・。

そうならないためにも「英会話に慣れておく必要」があります。

ゆっくりでも自分の言いたいことを言えるようになると、海外生活でも困らなくなってきます。

そのためには日本でオンライン英会話をやっておくことがオススメ！
